Hello fellow Alamo Ranch Neighbors,
I hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather!
I did hear back from the city council office, and the council board voted to close Autumn Mist permanently. Currently, the road is still there but with the same temporary roadblocks. There is an online petition to fight the decision and if residents go to the city council meetings to speak in front of the board they could reconsider if there is enough interest.
We are getting an extra bulk pickup this year! December 21st is our extra date. We will still have our spring pickup date. See the flyer below for the do's and don'ts for bulk trash pick up.
The updated DRGs have been sent to the attorney to be submitted to the county. Once they come back with a stamp we will send them out to the community. In the meantime, you're welcome to put in your requests for the new approved items because the board and ARCA have already approved them.
The holiday spirit is in the air! The Christmas decorating contest is now open. If you would like your house judged you can email or call the office and let them know. The holiday event at the clubhouse is December 14th, come in the morning to have donuts with the Grinch and cookies with Santa in the evening.
The two board positions are still open if anyone would like to apply please contact the office or email me for details.
The ARCA scholarship is now open for applications please click on the link for all details. https://forms.gle/yQCBQZnHDGCZKoz37
We still have spots open for scholarship committee members so email me if you are interested in serving.
The ARCA Lights Alive date is December 15th and all cars that drive through on that day for our community will earn a scholarship fund donation of $10 per car. Last year we earned $80. Let's try and double that this year!
The splash pad project is taking a little longer to start than expected. The board is waiting on a couple more quotes. The kiddie pool is still open if you are brave enough for the cold water.
The monument decorations are taking a little longer this year because when Armando (maintenance) opened the box from last year the red bows were faded. The new ones have arrived and should be up by the time this is published.
I hope everyone has a great December and remember to lock your cars and call the sheriff's department if you see any suspicious behavior.
Have a great week and hope to see you at some of the upcoming events.
As always, if you have any questions/comments please feel free to email me.
Have a great week!
