Sunrise over Strawberry Peak with smoke from the Line Fire by Joe Whyte | |
JOE WHYTE
As a 4th Generation Californian and a resident of Crestline for 29 years I have an extensive background in photographing the Golden State and in particular the San Bernardino National Forest. Shooting first with Film now with Digital, I look for the simple beauty in Nature and try to capture it in my images. I have concentrated my photography In the Eastern Sierra, the deserts, the West Coast and, of course, the local mountains.
My latest project as been photographing the Milky Way, which requires travel the darkest places I can find and spending many nights shooting late into the small hours and till dawn. In the last six months I have Camped in the Mojave Preserve, Trona Pinnacles, Eastern Sierra, the White Mountains and photographed at Bodie, Ca to capture the Milky Way.

I recently returned from a week road trip up the coast following 101 and 1 to the Russian River with stops to photograph the Field of Light at Sensorio in Paso Robles. Stopping to photograph in Morro Bay had a amazing Sunset. One of my favorite places is the Point Reys Peninsula, such with beauty like California was years ago.
I then photographed sea stacks on the beach where the Russian River empties into the sea.
I have enjoyed capturing my images and bringing the beauty of nature print, I hope you enjoy them.

DENNIS WARNESKY
Since being introduced to the art of photography at the age 15, Dennis has been hooked on making images that tell a story, invoke an emotional response or show the world in a different light or point of view.
After attending Photography schools in New York and Boston he landed his first job teaching photography to 4th through 6th graders in an after-school program. On his way out the door for his first class he received a call from the editor of a large weekly newspaper offering him his first shooting job as a news photographer. Within three years his career took off. He landed a job as a commercial photographer in the fashion industry in New York City. After 5 years in New York City, he decided to start his own studio doing editorial and commercial photography for ad agencies and corporations. Dennis spent the next 30 years working as a corporate photographer for 2 large corporations, running a commercial photography studio and as an adjunct professor of photography at Franklin Pierce College.
In his over 40 years as a corporate/commercial photographer, Dennis has worked for companies such as Lockheed, BAE Systems, PennWelll Publications and McGraw-Hill producing photography for advertising, public relations, annual reports and marketing. Teaching photography allowed Dennis to expand his vision of what emotion his fine art photography should convey and what was his intent.
“I evaluate a scene I am about to photograph and look for a unique point of view, light, shadows, lines shapes, or colors that will create an image that someone else might overlook or not see at all. I try to create a photograph that will evoke an emotional response”

LINDA HARLEN-WHITE
I have been an artist for over 40 years. I have an A.A. Degree in Art from El Camino College where I took every art class they had to offer - Ceramics, Photo, Printmaking, Enameling, Graphic Art, Glass Fusion, Acrylic and Watercolor. However, I found my forte in China Painting on Tiles.
Of course, I couldn't have chosen a more tedious medium for my art; the tiles must be fired up to twenty times in a kiln. Each firing achieves the next stage of development in the painting, bringing out the depth of color and detail, a little more each time.
In the past I have entered my art in juried shows and consequently have earned 23 awards - six in the 1st Place category, four 2nd Place awards, three 3rd Place and six Honorable Mentions along with four special awards.

LISA COOK
Rusty little bird pendant with inlaid DZI beads. This is a type of agate bead of uncertain origin found in the Himalayan regions. The bead is considered to provide positive spiritual benefits to the wearer. These beads are generally prized as protective amulets and are sometimes grounded and used in traditional Tibetan medicine.

GRAEME GALE
Graeme Gale’s rustic ornaments. I call these square ornaments “Framed Yard Debris” because most everything comes from my yard. I have found a “secret” forest location where I source the biggest acorns I’ve ever seen. I use the giant acorns for my rustic hanging ornaments. These are perfect for your Christmas tree or for year-round adornment! Please come into the Mountain Arts Gallery in Lake Arrowhead Village to see.
