As Executive Director of Senior Resource Association (SRA) Foundation, Robyn Orzel is on a mission to connect generosity with purpose. With more than 35 years of experience in development and marketing, Robyn brings a deep understanding of how strategic philanthropy can transform lives—especially for seniors in Indian River County.
Robyn’s career has spanned leadership roles in the arts, education, and human services across Wilkes-Barre, PA; Raleigh, NC; Dayton, OH; and Vero Beach. Before joining SRA, she served for over two decades as Director of Development and Associate Executive Director at the Vero Beach Museum of Art, where she helped shape the museum’s growth and community engagement. Her work there left a lasting legacy of cultural enrichment and donor stewardship.
Now at the helm of SRA Foundation, Robyn focuses on helping donors achieve their philanthropic goals by connecting them to meaningful opportunities that improve the lives of older adults. Her approach is rooted in relationship-building, transparency, and a genuine love for the community she calls home.
“Vero Beach has a rare blend of big-city culture and small-town heart,” Robyn shares. “It’s a place where people show up for one another. Organizations like Senior Resource Association thrive because of that spirit, and I’m honored to help donors be part of something so impactful.”
Senior Resource Association Foundation secures and stewards philanthropic resources to support, strengthen, and expand SRA’s mission of serving older adults in our community. From Meals on Wheels to transportation and adult enrichment, SRA provides essential services that promote independence and dignity for seniors and their caregivers. Through the Foundation, Robyn ensures that donor generosity fuels these programs and sustains their reach for years to come.
Robyn holds a BA in Communications from Wilkes University and has been a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) since 1993. She served on the AFP board from 2006 to 2014 as President and Secretary, rejoining in 2024 as Secretary. Her leadership has extended to governance, nominating, and scholarship committees, and she previously chaired the annual National Philanthropy Day celebration.
Her commitment to best practices and ethical fundraising continues to guide her work at SRA, where she collaborates with donors, board members, and staff to build a sustainable future for senior services in the region.
Robyn moved to Vero Beach with her husband and son in 2003 from Dayton, Ohio, where she led the resource development efforts for the Dayton Art Institute. Whether she’s facilitating a significant gift or mentoring the next generation of fundraisers, Robyn’s passion for service shines through.
Under her leadership, SRA Foundation is not only raising funds—it’s raising expectations for what compassionate, community-driven philanthropy can achieve.
