Department Spotlight: Celebrating the Holidays with CARE & CalWORKs

El Camino’s tradition of caring and sharing continued with the 27th Annual CARE & CalWORKs Warrior Holidays celebration. More than 400 children received holiday gifts and enjoyed celebrating with their families. Our generous campus community supported the event with monetary gifts to the El Camino College Foundation totaling over $5,000, as well as additional toy donations. The holiday season can be challenging for many parents, especially for those who are juggling parenthood while pursuing their education. This event reinforces the message that every student-parent at El Camino College is valued and cared for.

Julia Parton, First Vice President and Business Development Manager organized the collection and delivered the food donations collected from the Rolling Hills Estates branch throughout the month of November.

Thank you Malaga Bank, for giving back to our students and community during this season of giving!
