Dear Beloved Members, Pastors, and Supporters,
With all the problems in the world today, it’s easy to imagine what we think God should have done differently. He could have brought world peace. He could have eliminated hunger, disease, and poverty. He could have eradicated hatred, racism, and injustice forever. And yet, with all the power of heaven at His command, God chose to do none of those things, at least not yet.
Instead, He gave the world something far greater: God gave Himself.
When John wrote, “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us,” he was telling us that God’s answer to the world’s greatest need was not a new system, or a new government, it was a Savior. Jesus did not come to fix what is broken around us, He came to fix what is broken within us.
The problems of this world, the violence, the injustices, sin and sickness everywhere, are all symptoms of humanity’s separation from God. What the world needs most is not just economic relief; it needs a spiritual relationship. The incarnation was God’s way of saying, “I’m not just sending help, I’m coming Myself.”
When Jesus entered this world, He didn’t remove every storm, but He gives peace in the midst of them. He didn’t stop every death, but He conquered death through the cross and His resurrection. He didn’t end all sin, but He does offer forgiveness to all sinners.
What the world needs most has never changed, it’s Jesus. Every heart that turns to Him experiences life transformation.
So as we look at a world that is in great need of so much healing, let’s remember: the answer has already come. “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14
All the Best!
