NCFRW – Thankful for the blessings of Liberty! | | |
From Erica Vedeikis, NCFRW President
| | |
As we begin this new chapter together, I want to first express my heartfelt gratitude to Past President Kay Wildt. Over the last four years, Kay has guided our Federation with unwavering dedication, steady leadership, and a deep love for our mission. Her example sets a high bar, and I can only hope to serve with the same strength, grace, and effectiveness that she brought to every challenge and opportunity.
I also want to take a moment to reaffirm my commitment to you—the women who make the North Carolina Federation of Republican Women the powerhouse it is. This is your Federation. Your passion, your hard work, and your belief in the conservative principles that strengthen our communities are what drive our success.
I am truly honored that you have entrusted me to lead this remarkable organization. Please know that I will devote myself fully to upholding the faith you have placed in me. Together, we will continue to equip our clubs, grow our membership, support our Republican candidates, and expand our influence across North Carolina.
The future of the NCFRW is bright, and I am excited to walk this journey with each of you.
With gratitude and determination,
Erica Vedeikis
Incoming President, NCFRW

“From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised!” Ps 113:3
The Bible talks about how the sun will always rise. You can count on it. The sky begins to lighten with warm colors and then the golden rays pop up into rays of sunshine. We all love it.
On some days, when the sun rises, we cannot see it because of thick, dark clouds that rumble between us and the sun.

New Regional Map for NCFRW Presented at Fall Board Meeting
At the request of the Executive Committee in May, Michele Nix (Crystal Coast RW) and Stephanie Franks (Gaston County RWC) were tasked with reviewing the current map and regions of the NCFRW and to present an update to the map that would best serve all of our clubs. At the Fall Board Meeting, they presented the map below, increasing our Regions from 5 to 7. In January, at our Winter Board Meeting, we will vote on a change to our NCFRW Bylaws to allow for the addition of 2 Regions, creating 2 new Regional VPs. The Regions will follow the NFRW naming convention of using numbers.
Acceptance of this map is contingent upon approval of the Bylaws change. Until that time, clubs will remain in their current regions under their current Regional VP.

Your Club Bylaws are Everyone's Bylaws
Every member plays a vital role in keeping our clubs strong, and that begins with understanding your club’s bylaws. These rules aren’t just for officers—they guide how we conduct business, make decisions, and protect fairness within our organization.
I encourage every member to take a few minutes between now and your January club meeting to refresh yourself with your bylaws. An informed membership strengthens our clubs, supports our leaders, and ensures we are all working together with clarity and purpose.

Thank You to Our First GOLD REGENT CLUB!
First the club became a BRONZE REGENT CLUB, and then at our Fall 2025 meeting, Fayetteville RWC decided to support the NCFRW at the GOLD level.
After hearing from great speakers like Catherine Herridge and Gordon Chang, it is easy to understand that support from both individual members AND clubs is so important. Your support enables us to bring you great speakers and keeps meeting costs as low as possible.
Thank you, President Gail Morfesis and President-Elect Laura Mussler.

Craven Co RWC
Caring for the U.S. Border Patrol Officers
Per Candace Sullivan, CCRWC President, Craven Co RWC volunteers gathered to write Christmas cards to send to Border Patrol Officers serving on the southern border. The ladies really stepped up in our Border Care Project, and 739 cards were sent to Texas.
Incoming NFRW President Martha Jenkins had suggested the project that was explained in our October and November newsletters.
