On November 18, 2025, Sam Harrison was officially sworn in as Councilmember for Position 1 on the Carnation City Council.
Councilmember Harrison moved to Carnation 3 years ago with his wife, two boys (ages 6 and 7), mother-in-law, and grandmother-in-law. Carnation was their first choice due to the tempered housing prices, small-town feel, excellent schools, and proximity to outdoor activities.
"Living in a multigenerational house and leading large-scale projects have taught me to see the world from many different angles," says Councilmember Harrison. "I understand how policies and investments affect our community, and I value solutions that work for everyone."
Councilmember Harrison brings technical expertise and large-scale project management from his experience designing and deploying some of the world's largest distribution and fulfillment centers at Boeing, Amazon, and Blue Origin.
"Through a collaborative and analytical approach, grounded in active listening, I will work to ensure Carnation’s future reflects the priorities and voices of everyone who calls it home," says Councilmember Harrison.
