You don’t need to spend a lot of money to have a meaningful Christmas. Some of the best holiday moments come from simple acts of kindness—spending time with loved ones, visiting someone in a nursing home, delivering groceries to an older adult, or preparing a meal for a neighbor in need. These kinds of activities bring joy and a deep sense of satisfaction. Consider doing them with your children and creating lasting family memories of caring for others during the holidays.

Grieving during the holidays can intensify feelings of loss, as memories are stirred by familiar traditions and celebrations. It’s important to acknowledge and express your grief—talk with supportive friends or family, or let them know if you need space instead.
