Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at the Piedmont Area Chamber of Commerce. This year we continue to be thankful for another successful year of great events and small business growth. As the holiday season kicks off we are excited to finish 2025 strong with a variety of great events going on in the community. The annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting planned for this Saturday, Nov. 29th is currently still scheduled with the weather forecast being closely watched. If necessary, the event will be rescheduled for Saturday, December 6th. The Piedmont Betterment Committee will be making updates as available. The most up-to-date info can be found on facebook as it is posted. Also, the Holiday Shopping Passport hosted by the Piedmont Small Business Owners group kicks off this Saturday. Be sure to check out all of the details and how to participate below. Finally, new membership packets for 2026, including annual event dates, are being mailed. Annual Thanksgiving Dinner to Continue In 2025

Planning and preparation continues for the 2025 Share the Blessings Dinner to be held on Thanksgiving Day. The annual free meal will be held in the Wayne County Community Building from 11am - 2pm.

Small Town Big Scenes

Small Town Big Scenes First Friday Art Walk continues in December as a celebration of creativity, community, and connection! Downtown businesses will stay open special evening hours and host local artists and artisans showcasing their work. Shop local, experience the Arts, enjoy the vibe. Whether you’re an artist, maker, or simply love supporting local talent, this is your chance to discover unique creations and connect with your community. So, mark your calendars, invite your friends, and come be part of the magic on Main Street!

The December event will be adding a poetry event at Clearwater Coffee Company from 7-8. Anyone wishing to participate can sign up at Clearwater Coffee Co or by contacting the Small Town Big Scenes facebook page.

Annual Breakfast with Santa

The 2025 Breakfast with Santa will be held on December 6th at a new location; Pine Hill Diner! Breakfast will include pancakes, sausage and a drink for just $5 from 8-11am. The Grinch will also be in attendance. Make your plans to attend now!
