New Board Members Sworn In

Recently elected and re-elected Gloucester County Board of Supervisors and School Board members were officially sworn in during a special ceremony Friday afternoon in the Colonial Courthouse.

Shown, from left, are newly elected Petsworth District Board of Supervisors member Kenneth W. Gibson; newly elected Gloucester School Board member Carlton Drew, York District representative; and Kevin Smith, who was re-elected to the Board of Supervisors as an at-large representative.
Due to scheduling conflicts, the other newly elected and re-elected officials will be sworn in separately in the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office.

Campers will visit Jamestown, Yorktown, Machicomoco State Park, and other local sites to experience Virginia History (and to feel the ground shake under their feet). The cost is $75. For more information and to sign up visit gloucesterva.info/civicrec and select the “Day Camps” tab.
