Reimburseable Grants to
'SBIF" Up your Business Property
The City of Chicago's Small Business Improvement Fund (SBIF) provides neighborhood small businesses and property owners with reimbursement grants for building improvement costs; residential projects are not eligible. Funded by local Tax Increment Financing (TIF) revenue in SBIF-eligible TIF districts citywide, grant funds can be used to reimburse a percentage of pre-approved construction costs.
Stay tuned for the eNews' next issue - we'll print January's TIF District Rollouts. In the meantime, learn about the program with the following links and read about a local NWCC member business that used the program - Almacenes Mexico.
