December 27, 2018
The church office is closed until January 2. If you have pledges or contributions you would like recorded in 2018, please make sure they are mailed and postmarked by December 31. Thank you!
The next New Member Orientation is Sunday, January 6 at 11:45am in Room 112. Please plan to attend if you would like to find out more about membership at Dayspring! A light lunch will be served, and childcare is available upon request. Contact Andrea by email or at (480) 838-1446 to learn more or to register.
The Explorer's and Contemporary Issues Classes are taking a break until January 6.

THE EXPLORER’S CLASS will start a new series on Genesis. This four-week series will be taught by Mark Fulton and will focus on the historical context and meaning of Genesis, a widely misunderstood and misused book of the Bible. Join the discussion at 9:00 in the Adult Room for discussion and coffee.
THE CONTEMPORARY ISSUES CLASS will begin studying the book Adam, Eve, and the Serpent by Elaine Pagels. This will be a four-week series led by Sandi Chamness that will focus on several questions regarding the Genesis stories and Christianity's views on sex and sin. The class meets at 10:30 in the Adult Room.
We will have ONE service at 10:00am on January 13 followed by the 2019 Ministries and Missions Fair at 11:15am on the patio.

This year, an added attraction is a Chili Cook-Off, hosted by the Staff Parish Relations Committee!
We are asking you to pull out your favorite chili recipe and prepare it for a panel of judges to see if it would be awarded the Most Original, Best Tasting, Fire Alarm or the Least Chili Chili prize. Join in on the fun! Contact David Barnhouse at if you would like to enter your favorite chili in the Cook-Off. There will be a suggested donation of $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. All donations will go towards Dayspring’s missions.
