It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Christmas is a time to celebrate the fact that the Saviour of the world was born to save the world from sin.
Romans 3:23-24 tells us: For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty of our sins.
Jesus came to bring hope to a troubled world. Jesus came to be light in the darkness. Jesus is God’s gift to us.
We have the best news to share with the world. The Hope of Christmas has come to free us from the bondage of sin. The message of the birth of Christ truly is Good News!
One of the easiest ways to share the good news of Jesus is through social media. We are working with Brent Brewer from Essential Studios in developing a new Bridge Church Website and social media presence. We have started the process and it should be ready to go live early March.
Our Special Christmas Offering will help offset the cost of the website. Our goal is to raise $4000. If you would like to give towards this worthy project, please designate your donation on your offering envelope or online giving as “Christmas Offering” by the end of December. We so appreciate your support.
Luke 2:15-20: When the angels had returned to heaven, the shepherds said to each other, “Let’s go to Bethlehem! Let’s see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” They hurried to the village and found Mary and Joseph. And there was the baby, lying in the manger. After seeing him, the shepherds told everyone what had happened and what the angel had said to them about this child. All who heard the shepherds’ story were astonished, but Mary kept all these things in her heart and thought about them often. The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. It was just as the angel had told them.
Merry Christmas,
Pastor Jason
