Usher in the holiday season with the song of the angels as the Arizona Cantilena Chorale under the direction of David Schildkret performs Vivaldi’s beloved Gloria at Dayspring on Saturday, December 6, at 7 p.m. Joining Cantilena are Melissa Solomon, soprano, and Miriam Schildkret, mezzo-soprano, both regulars with Arizona Opera, and a professional chamber orchestra. District Superintendent Rev. Melissa Rynders has authorized a Special Charge Conference on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 11:30am in the Palo Verde Room. The purpose of this Charge Conference is to approve the 2026 Budget and to pre-authorize the sale of Dayspring Arcadia. A link providing background and rationale for this action is available here.

All Dayspring members are welcome to attend the Charge Conference; however, only Covenant Council members are eligible to vote.

Please remember to turn in your 2026 pledge card (you can fill it out online HERE). This is a chance to join in God’s spirit of generosity and celebrate the community we’re building together. This really improves the accuracy of financial planning for the church, so we appreciate your sharing this information.

Every gift matters – large or small. Everyone has a part to sing. All we have to do is raise our voices and make a joyful noise!

Dayspring will once again be filled with beautiful flowers on Christmas Eve. Each plant is given as a memorial to, or in honor of, a special loved one or friend. In addition, gifts may also be made to UMOM’s Shelter for the Homeless in lieu of a plant. Both of these gifts will be listed in our Christmas bulletins, projected before services on Christmas Eve, and online. Orders must be received by noon on Wednesday, December 17. Order online HERE or look for an order form on Sunday morning!

Our special December burrito is the Grinch! A holiday troublemaker wrapped in a warm tortilla, with two types of melty cheese, savory ham, fluffy eggs, a sharp sprinkle of bacon and fresh chives, seasoned just right. It is rich, salty, festive and impossible to ignore!

This month - just in time for the holidays - our Deep Relaxation session is back at 11:30 in Room 112!

We will be selling homemade tortillas on Saturday, December 14th to support families in our community who have been impacted by recent ICE raids. We will have only 30 dozen available, so be sure to get yours after service! Every purchase helps us extend compassion, dignity, and support where it’s needed most.

VIP is holding a Talent Showcase on December 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Dayspring Arcadia. Do you have a musical talent you’d like to share with a warm, supportive audience? Dayspring Arcadia is a beautiful venue, and this gathering is a meaningful way to connect with VIP congregations and community leaders from across the Valley. Please email John if you would like to participate.
