Dear Friends in Christ,
Generosity of Heart and Spirit
Over these last few weeks, I’ve been inspired by the generosity of this congregation through your contributions to the bishop’s discretionary fund and the United Thank Offering. It’s amazing to think about all that God can accomplish in and through the people of St. Paul’s, as we worship together, care for those in need, and grow in faith and service.
As we approach the end of another year, may I call upon you again to consider a gift to support the ongoing mission and ministry of our church? Your ongoing generosity enables us to finish the year strong and step confidently into the work God has prepared for us in this next season. Every contribution—large or small—helps sustain the vibrancy of our parish, which is a place of hope, grace, and belonging for so many.
Thank you for your heart and passion for this community! We are truly blessed to be a part of such a faithful and loving congregation, and I am profoundly thankful for the privilege of serving alongside you. I look forward to seeing how the Holy Spirit will continue to move in our midst and inspire us for the work of the gospel!
A Holy Advent
Advent is a season that invites us to slow down in a world that only seems to speed up. While the culture around us rushes frantically toward Christmas, the Church offers a different rhythm—one marked by hope, intentionality, and holy expectation. In moments of stillness and prayer, we can see the light of Christ’s love glowing in the darkness, and we can hear God’s promises of redemption whispered before they are fulfilled.
This sacred time is meant to remind us that our Lord meets us in every detail of our ordinary lives and experiences. As we light the candles, pray the ancient prayers, and hear again the stories of prophets and angels, may this Advent form us into a people who are attentive to every sign of God’s presence in our midst.
Advent blessings, one and all,
Jody+
