What's New

Just in! Our first order of Bird Seed has arrived. We now carry large and small bags to feed your chickens as well as wild birds such as Finches and Sparrows.

Chris recently put up a bird feeder at our home (that we now offer at the nursery) and we filled it with seed in front of our family room window. It has been a joy to see all the little birds dart to and fro enjoying the new addition. Our daughter Ruby especially enjoys watching the birds.

We reference the book The Birds of Bidwell Park by local author Roger J. Lederer to identify the new flurry of birds visiting our garden. You can find this book as well as Roger's other book The Trees of Bidwell Park in our Gift Shop. We have many more books too! We even have some wonderful children's books just in.

December To Dos

Peaches is our nursery cat. She has picked up lots of knowledge while lounging around the nursery

-Tree leaves are meant to stay where they fall. That leaf layer is it's own ecosystem. Many wildlife species live in or rely on the leaf layer for food and shelter. While you may want to remove all fallen leaves leave some if you can.

-Don't forget to water plants untouched by rainfall
