Jasper Desk was founded in 1876 and is the oldest wood office furniture manufacturer in the United States. In 1890 the U.S. patent office issued Jasper Desk an exclusive patent for the roll top desk design, which at that time was the only patent issued to any operating plant in the U.S.

The brand has been purchased for use of some previous Presidents of the United States.
