ANNUAL AUDUBON CHRISTMAS BIRD COUNT

Saturday, December 14, 2024

Join Liberty Bird Alliance to participate in the 125th Audubon Christmas Bird Count. Volunteers spread out across our designated 15-mile diameter circle, centered at Briar Bush Nature Center, to count all the winter species we see and hear. Check our website to learn more and how you can to participate.

FIELD TRIPS

THERE IS NO SCHEDULED FIELD TRIP IN DECEMBER!

We had a very successful field trip to the Edwin Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge this month. A dozen people participated in the trip and we saw over 40 species. A trip to Barnegat Light to see winter ducks is in the works. Please check our website regularly to sign up for our upcoming trips.

BIRD TOWN PENNSYLVANIA BIRD WALKS

All are welcome to participate, including new birders and experienced birders alike. Bring binoculars if you have them; wear comfortable footwear and clothing. Come see some of our year round residents that frequent these areas. There is always a chance to catch an unusual or unexpected species too. No preregistration is required unless otherwise indicated.

Wyncote Audubon Society has become Liberty Bird Alliance. The change comes after thoughtful consideration of three key factors that included the expansion of our chapter territory, the ongoing controversy over the “Audubon” name, and the adoption of our new strategic plan.
