Care Professional of the Month - November 2023

Cindy Dill

Please help us congratulate Cindy, our November Care Pro of the month! Longevity and steadiness are the name of the game with Cindy. She has been a constant champion and source of support to us and the families she is with. Cindy has been with our Home Instead family for just over 12 incredible years!!! Having overcome her own personal challenges recently, she managed to keep her chin up and her feet planted firmly on the ground, with a good outlook and a positive attitude on life. Cindy has been with her most recent client now for about a year and a half, enabling her client's wife to enjoy getting out of the house without worry. She knows her husband is in the best of hands. Thank you, Cindy, for your stability, and your peaceful, easy spirit. You are appreciated beyond measure!

New Method for Time Off Requests

Step 1: From the WellSky app menu, select Hours Wanted and Unavailability

Step 2: Click 'Request Unavailability' at the bottom of the screen

Step 3: An alert will popup letting the Care Pro know that they may only request unavailability that does not conflict with existing shifts. Click Continue.

Step 4: Enter the details of the unavailability request.

Step 5: Click Submit

Step 6: If the unavailability request does not conflict with already scheduled shifts, the Care Pro will see a confirmation that their request was received and it is pending review.

Step 7: Care Pro's will receive an e-mail confirming that their availability was approved or denied. In addition, Care Pro's can view the unavailability status from the mobile app.

Updated Home Addresses Needed

Did you move this year? Please call and let us know your new home address. This will ensure smooth processing of your W2.

If you are not sure what your client’s

code status is, please contact the office

and we will inform you.

MOLST FORM

Most of our Clients have a MOLST Form in their home. Some have it on their refrigerators and some carry them in their purses.

It is extremely important that you know where the MOLST Form is located and what our clients’ preferences are during life threatening medical emergencies.

Their Code Status will either be to Attempt CPR or No CPR. These instructions are also located on the Nurses Assessment for our personal care clients.

Schedules

-Schedule Changes-

Any requests from clients/families must go through the schedulers in the office. If a client/family member asks you directly, please have them call the office.

-Call Off's-

You MUST call AND speak with someone from the office. Text and/or email is not acceptable. If you don’t get an answer when calling, leave a message and keep calling until you speak with someone.

Feeling Sick???

If you are not feeling well, please notify the office immediately!!

Please do not wait to call until right before your shift. Early notifications will help prevent last minute call-offs and gives our schedulers time to cover shifts for our clients.

Form Requests

If you need the office to fill out any forms for you, please allow a 24 hour turnaround time. Thanks!

!! Shift Reminders !!

  • Please pay attention to the shift reminders that are texted and emailed the day before your shift! So if you have any questions about the shift, the office will have time to look into it for you.

  • We require each Care Pro to arrive at your shift a few minutes early. This is out of respect for the Care Pro you are replacing, and the family. This also applies to shifts you are not relieving someone from. The information you receive is going to enable you to provide the best care possible.

  • If you are asked to stay late, it is imperative that you notate/leave a message when clocking-out of you shift. Otherwise, you will not be paid for that time.
