Business After 5 at The Antlers
We had such a fun time at the  Soo Antlers  for Business After 5! Thank you to owners Chris and Cathy Szabo for hosting such a great networking event and thank you to everyone who came out! We will be taking the month of December off of Business After 5's but will start up again on January 16th of 2020 at the 1668 Winery on Portage Ave in  Downtown Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan .
Ribbon Cutting Silver Lining
Recently Chamber Ambassadors and Dignitaries held a Ribbon Cutting for a new downtown business, Silver Linings. Located at 409 Ashmun Street, Silver Linings features Antiques and Gifts ideas for your home or cottage. Cutting the ribbon is owner Robin Hovie. 
Chamber Ambassador President Terri Parker presenting the $500 check to Captain Daniel Voss of the Salvation Army. Each year the Ambassadors make a donation to a charity of their choosing. This year they chose the Salvation Army Backpack program. The program helps kids who are in need with a backpack stuffed with food so during the holidays when they are home on break from school the kids have something to eat. Thank You Ambassadors!

For their December meeting Chamber Ambassadors met for a Christmas Luncheon at the  Ramada Plaza Sault Ste. Marie Ojibway . The food was delicious! We are very blessed to have such a great group of Ambassadors who love and support not only our Chamber but the  City of Sault Ste. Marie, MI  as well!

Leadership Program
The Chamber Leadership Program Students are continuing their education with the November session-Organizations and December session-Health. They have also had some great tours of area buildings and renovations. They are pictured here looking at the Cadillac Building on Portage Avenue. Leadership Students will be Graduating at the Annual Chamber Banquet in February 2020. Look for applications for the 2020 Leadership Class coming out soon. Contact the Chamber if interested.
Chamber, CVB, DDA, SSMEDC Christmas Luncheon
Had a great lunch with the staff at the Sault Ste Marie Conventions and Visitors Bureau, the Sault Ste Marie Economic Development Corporation, and the Sault Ste Marie Downtown Development Authority. It’s always great to get together and catch up! The lunch at the Ramada Ojibway Freighters Restaurant was delicious and the service was amazing.
