Keeping the flame aglow

In the winter flurry and hustle-bustle, we invite you to kindle the sparks that keep you warm - conversations with friends, a good read, laughter, making plans for the new year, dancing for yourself. May the glow carry you through to 2023!

Practitioner Exchange:

Making Dance Visible

How can we communicate all that happens in the dance classroom – the magic of the creative process, the physical-social-emotional learning, our own teaching inquiry, and more – with parents, administrators, the larger community? What role can performances or informances play in this? Beyond performance, what other platforms can we cultivate to share what we see, particularly to those who might not be familiar with dance or have expectations about how it should look? Who should be sharing the learning and who are our audiences? Join dance educators Deborah Karp and Heather Stockton as they dive into these questions and more in casual roundtable conversation.

Dance educators, Practitioner Exchanges are a place for you! We hold these collaborative community roundtable each month around different inquiry topics. Bring your questions, your reflections, your experience to these conversations. All welcome.
