Westshore District Survey Update
THANK YOU to the more than 1,000 Westshore employees and residents who participated in the first-ever Westshore District-wide survey. The purpose of the survey is to gain stronger insights on the demographics, perceptions and activities of those who work in Westshore, as well as the growing number of people who live here. The survey is now closed, and analysis is underway. Survey highlights and key findings will be shared at the 2018 Annual Meeting on February 28. The six lucky gift card winners will be notified this month.
Seeking Venues for the 2018 Westshore 101 Breakfast Series
Showcase your facility to new and prospective Alliance members by hosting one of our monthly Westshore 101 breakfasts. All that we ask of you is to provide a room with seating for 20 to 25 people and a light continental breakfast. In exchange for hosting the event, your company will be featured as the event sponsor on our website event calendar and event announcements. Additionally, you will have a few minutes to address event attendees.

Our January and February venues have been reserved. Here are the 2018 remaining scheduled dates:

The AC Hotel Tampa Airport by Marriott International Inc. is starting to staff up as the new 175-room property heads toward its expected opening in January 2018. The hotel, which is designed to appeal to millennial travelers, is located in MetWest International on Boy Scout Blvd. MORE
GOLFTEC Westshore is coming soon to MetWest International at 4142 W. Boy Scout Blvd. The golf center will feature the latest in teaching technology and an enhanced fitting experience.
Tampa International Business Center, a 324,654-square-foot park consisting of six buildings just north of Tampa International Airport, has been sold to Real Estate Value Advisors LLC for $45.05 million. MORE
Poke Fish Tide to Table will be the first stand-alone fast-casual poke bowl concept in Tampa, opening in December at 4424 W Kennedy Blvd. near Lois Avenue. MORE
The 323-unit Seazen waterfront apartment community is taking shape on Rocky Point. Orlando developer ZOM Florida and Northwestern Mutual are partnering on the luxury residential project at 7616 W. Courtney Campbell Causeway. Seazen is scheduled to open in 2018. 
TRANSPORTATIONTransportation
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has launched a new website featuring information on interstate and non-interstate projects in the Tampa Bay area. The new site, http://FDOTtampabay.com, replaces the "myTBI.com" site.

According to FDOT, the Veterans Expressway's express toll lanes are scheduled to open by the end of this year. MORE
