Tropical Christmas
December 3, 2022

Tropical Christmas is a free, day-long extravaganza kicking off the holiday season with fun, festivities, fireworks, visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and more! The event beings at 10am on Saturday, December 3 at the Rockport Harbor, The festival winds down at 5:30pm in preparation of the lighting of the Christmas Tree, LED Night Kite display, illuminated night parade. And, for the grand finale a spectacular fireworks display over the harbor.

Rockport Cultural Art District
The Rockport Cultural Arts District (RCAD) is transforming the Cultural Arts District this holiday season into a lighted wonderland for all to enjoy. In partnership with Aransas County Navigation District, RCAD is co-sponsoring the Harbor Christmas decorating contest for harbor boats and businesses that line the Rockport Harbor. In partnership with the City of Rockport, RCAD is providing further enhancements to decoration on Austin Street. Additionally, RCAD is sponsoring a "Light it Up" contest for all businesses and nonprofits located in RCAD.


Lighted Boat Parade
December 10, 2022

Time to stroll down our avenues and admire the decorations. Time to attend parties and exchange presents. Most of all, because we live in a boating community, it's time to participate in the annual boat parade. Rockport Yacht Club host a parade of decorated vessels that are judged in several classes including powerboats and sailboats. Parade starts after dark.

Angel Tree Gift Ornaments
The Rockport Cultural Arts District is sponsoring Aransas County Foster children again this Christmas with angel Tree ornaments. There are 47 children who need clothing and also have a wish list of presents they hope for. Individuals can help by picking up Angle Tree ornaments from District merchants, completing the child sponsorship form, purchasing requested gifts, and dropping ogg at one of three locations by December 13th. The History Center for Aransas County
December 3, 1pm-4pm, Visit the History during Tropical Christmas on Saturday, History Center will remind you of days-gone-by with ornaments and trees to entertain you. Rockport-Fulton Tour of Homes
December 3 - 4, 12pm - 3pm, Rockport-Fulton Tour of Historic Home. There are three venues will be decorated for the holiday. Each year homes are featured on the tour to provide new experiences for the guest. Rockport Center for the Arts
Rockport Center for the Arts announced official opening plans for its new 14,000-square-foot visual arts and education building in the heart of downtown Rockport. Aransas National Wildlife Refuge

Goose Island State Park

Memorial Park
Check out the Disc golf course intertwining among the oak trees. Memorial Park is located at 1601 FM 2165 (Pearl St.) in Rockport. The park includes a 6000 sq. ft. modular skate park. Consisting of more than 100 acres, the Park includes 1.65 miles of Hike and Bike trails and a 3/4-mile nature trail with interpretive signs, and rest benches. Soccer fields, basketball courts, baseball/softball fields, off-leash dog parks, playscapes and fitness stations, birding sites, and picnic facilities serve a wide variety of interests throughout the year.
