Headed for a Rough Flu Season?
Dr. Katelyn Jetelina is an epidemiologist and data scientist with a Masters in Public Health and a PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, professor at Yale School of Public Health and a source we trust. The latest from Dr. Jetelina:
"The good news is that government shutdown is over, and a few things are finally back online including CDC data and SNAP funding.
The bad news? We could be heading into a brutal flu season. The infant botulism outbreak linked to formula is climbing, and the U.S. may soon face a review of its measles elimination status, following Canada’s loss of theirs last week.
And, with the gears turning again in Washington, health policy questions are back in play." Learn more in her newsletter.

Partnership for a Healthy Lincoln is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving and protecting the health, wellness, and fitness of Lincoln's children, families, and seniors.
We work to improve wellness policies and conduct community level health research. We collaborate with community partners to promote healthy weights through good nutrition and fitness, improve child and maternal health by supporting breastfeeding, create better patient outcomes by increasing cancer screening and vaccination rates, improving chronic disease management, increasing preventative outreach, and standardizing clinical practices. During public health crises like the COVID 19 pandemic, we help to protect community health by providing science and evidence-based information.
Partnership for a Healthy Lincoln also works to improve health equity in our community, addressing disparities among populations with the highest burden of chronic disease.
