The 2019 Amgen Tour of California is Coming to Rancho Cordova!

The City of Rancho Cordova and Rancho Cordova Travel & Tourism are thrilled to announce that Rancho Cordova will be a Host City and the Stage 2 Start of the 2019 Amgen Tour of California on May 13, 2019.  
The Amgen Tour is a Tour de France-style cycling road race that takes place in seven stages where the world's elite cyclists will contest more than 750 miles of roadways, highways and coastlines from Sacramento to Pasadena.

Cordova Community Christmas Tree Lighting 

5,000 residents gathered at Village Green Park to celebrate the holiday season with rides, music, food, Santa Claus, and a firework display. Thank you to everyone who attended the 19th Annual Cordova Community Christmas Tree Lighting, hosted by the Cordova Community Council.

Here's How You Can Help Those Affected by the California Wildfires

We are devastated to hear of the tragedies caused by the wildfires across the state. The City of Rancho Cordova is working with local agencies and organizations to assist in efforts to provide aid to those affected by the wildfires. 

Your Holiday Trash, Recycle Schedule, and Free Holiday Tree Recycling

As the holidays approach, there will be a slight change to your trash, green waste, and recycling pick-up schedule. Republic Services will also be offering free holiday tree recycling. Learn more
 
 

Community Enhancement Fund Citizen's Report

Rancho Cordova 2017 - 2018 Citizen Report
The City of Rancho Cordova mailed the 3rd edition of the Community Enhancement Fund Citizen Report to all residents in mid-November to provide an overview of Community Enhancement Fund projects and detail how sales tax revenue was spent.

Free Trees + Program

The City of Rancho Cordova partnered with local organizations for a tree planting in the Lincoln Village neighborhood. Over 100 fruit and shade trees were planted, in addition to the 1,000th tree of the program. Learn more

Now Open

Side Burn BBQ and Brew (formally known as Dickey's BBQ) is now open and located at 2320 Sunrise Boulevard. Gangnam Ave, a Korean BBQ restaurant opened at 2216 Sunrise Boulevard. 

Coming Soon

Ono Hawaiian BBQ will be opening soon in Rancho Cordova and will be located at 10841 Olson Drive.  Code Ninjas , a  new coding technology-teaching business, will be open the week of December 23 with a Grand Opening event on January 5. Code Ninjas is located at 3187 Zinfandel Drive, Suite 3.

Giant Pumpkin Physics Experiment

Students at Folsom Cordova Unified School District's Cordova High School teamed up with Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District to conduct a unique real-world physics experiment. Watch the video

What's Happening at the MACC?

Holiday Pop-Up Art Gallery
Cordova Community Council and Rancho Cordova Arts are hosting the 5th Annual Holiday Pop-Up Gallery which supports 28 local Rancho Cordova Artists, and features masterpieces for sale, live music, and more! This free gallery is made possible by the City's Community Enhancement Fund. 

Public Works For You

Douglas Road between Americanos Boulevard and Grantline Road has now been reopened to through traffic. Over the next few months, the signal and landscaping work west of Americanos Boulevard will be completed.  In addition to widening the roadway, the project will add a sidewalk, six traffic signals, landscaped medians and will improve safety for motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists.
