If we are not aware that your child will be gone in the afternoon we have to search for them. This is a stressful situation, so please, let us know! If you call the school, we may or
may not
be notified. You should contact us, your child's teacher, AND the school office. One of them is NOT enough.
If it happens frequently we will have to charge you a $15.00 "Finder's Fee" as a reminder that we cannot leave 25+ other children with only one staff in order to run to the office, the buses, the classrooms, the gym, and any other place in an attempt to locate your child.
Please also be mindful that
we will keep a child at Extended Day
if we don't hear from YOU that they are to go home on the bus, with a friend, with an unauthorized adult, etc. We cannot just let them leave without the proper authorization. We will attempt to call you to clarify, but if we can't reach you, your child will stay with us. This may end up being inconvenient for you, but our priority is to make sure your children are safe.

On t
hese days we offer care from 6:30 AM until 6:00 PM and sometimes include a FUN field trip! You can register for these days in Eleyo at any time, remembering to pay attention to the deadlines for registration. The deadlines are also the last date you can withdraw your child from the NSD without being charged. Once a registration deadline has passed, you are not guaranteed childcare and may be put on a wait list.

November Was Out Of This World
We had STELLAR fun with the space and astronaut themed dramatic play bins! The grins and laughter that wearing the space suits and planning missions to other planets were delightful to see and hear! We are lucky enough to have this bin through December! Watch for a mission to Mars!! We enjoyed a student led cooking club. All the students enjoy food projects and is this one was a dessert club. It was very popular. :) We continue with our Social Emotional Learning (SEL) every week with fun activities that teach us how to get along, understand our feelings, and many other valuable skills.

Coming Up for December
A busy month ahead. A Kindness Scavenger Hunt, Blooming Flowers, Coping with Changes Skills, Middle East Fruit Salad, and Swedish Pancakes! We will also recognize National Giving Day, Human Rights Day, and National Llama Day!
As most of you know, we have been taking advantage of the wonderful snow and have been going sledding on the hill on the north end of the school! In order to do this we ask that the children have boots, snow pants, jackets, mittens, and hats. They are loving the the experience and weather permitting we will have lots of snow fun this month!
