National Observances Focus on Preventing Acute Illness
  • National Influenza Vaccination Week. From December 4-8, 2023, the focus will be on the importance of influenza vaccine for everyone age 6 months and older. Free CDC resources include multi-lingual fact sheets, videos, social media posts, posters, and more.
  • National Handwashing Awareness Week. Personal hygiene begins and ends with the hands. That's why December 3-9, 2023, has been set aside to remind people to remain healthy and prevent the spread of germs one handwash at a time.
