Showcasing Practice-Changing Blood Cancer Research at the 67th American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting and Exposition


Physician-scientists from Rutgers Cancer Institute and RWJBarnabas Health shared new clinical and basic science research results at the 67th American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting, held earlier this month.


Rutgers Cancer Institute, together with RWJBarnabas Health, were featured prominently at this year’s meeting with a total of 93 accepted peer-reviewed scientific abstracts, including 32 oral presentations, 60 poster presentations and 1 satellite symposium.


Becker’s Hospital Review Names RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Cancer Institute to the 2025 “100 Hospitals and Health Systems with Great Oncology Programs" List


RWJBarnabas Health, together with Rutgers Cancer Institute, has been named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s 100 Hospitals and Health Systems with Great Oncology Programs list for 2025, for the third consecutive year.


The list honors heath systems that have earned national recognition for their work in driving forward advanced cancer care and research, as well as cancer centers with internationally known specialists, capacity for clinical trials and exceptional safety ratings.


Hockey Fights Cancer 2025 with the New Jersey Devils


The New Jersey Devils hosted their annual Hockey Fights Cancer Night presented by RWJBarnabas Health on Saturday, November 29, 2025, when they faced off against the Philadelphia Flyers at the Prudential Center.


The Devils hosted 7-year-old Trevor Bobev and his family at practice earlier in the week and at the game. Trevor, a Devils fan from Somerset, New Jersey, was diagnosed with Burkitt’s Lymphoma when he was four years old and was treated at Rutgers Cancer Institute and RWJBarnabas Health, under the care of pediatric hematologist/oncologist Dr. Archana Sharma.
