Technology Meets Dentures

Getting dentures normally takes around five dentist visits. But Clinical Assistant Professor of Restorative Dentistry Hua Zhu can deliver them in only two appointments. And she can do them from anywhere, including from a kitchen table in her home country, China, where she made dentures for her aunt.

Zhu’s secret? A specially designed impression tray plus digital dentistry.

Brunsden-Villa Pediatric Dental Center Keeps on Giving



RSDM’s Brunsden-Villa Pediatric Dental Center opened its doors to the community in 2014 and began serving vulnerable patients in New Jersey and beyond. The center turned 10 this year.

Finding life with the generosity of Nancy Villa ’89 and Cavan Brunsden ’79, the Brunsden-Villa Pediatric Dental Center treated 17,328 patients for a total of 64,644 visits in its first decade.

’Tis the Season – to Protect Your Smile



The holiday season – filled with sweets and treats, wine, and crunchy food that can affect your dental health – has arrived. Eileen Hoskin, associate professor and director of operative dentistry at

RSDM, shares tips on keeping teeth healthy during the holidays and year-round.

Donors and scholars met at an annual reception. This year, 56 scholarships have been awarded to 68 students.

George Schmidt of the Class of 1998 has been installed as the Academy of General Dentistry's vice-president!

Professor of Restorative Dentistry Peter DeSciscio has been awarded the William K. Collins Sr. Meritorious Service Award!

RSDM faculty and staff decorated trees around the school to spread holiday vibes.
