Alumni Legacy Award
Online applications are now available for the Alumni Legacy Award. The submission deadline is March 1, 2018. This $1,000 award is designated for the child, grandchild or dependent of alumni who are Premium members of the LSSU Alumni Association. This award is a tremendous opportunity for dependents of Alumni Association members! Not yet a member? Join now so that your student is eligible!   
 
Sunrise Rotary Club partners with the LSSU Arts Center Gallery for this annual Fundraiser. Works of art are requested of artists in all forms of media on a 5 X 7 canvas...think paintings, drawings, fabric, photography and mixed media for the juried show and fundraiser on April 20, 2018.

 
 
LSSU lost two very important and influential leaders in the past few weeks. Prof. James Moody and Prof. William "Doc" Castor will be missed but their legacy lives on in the memories of the thousands of Lakers they taught.

Aaron Mize '02 was named National Chief of Hunting and Fishing for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. Mize was the 2014 Paul Ripley Award recipient at LSSU.
 
 

Andrew Briggs '10 is a Fisheries Research Biologist with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. After LSSU, Briggs earned a masters degree in Conservation Biology from Central Michigan University.

Gifts received by the LSSU Foundation postmarked by December 31 will qualify for a Federal tax credit on itemized tax returns. You may also qualify for a tax credit in your state of residence. Credit card gifts by mail must reach the University by Dec. 20 to receive a charitable deduction .
