2019 Annual Appeal is Underway

The Raymond Village Library is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and our Annual Appeal is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Community support provides the financial resources we need to ensure a strong, stable library, now and for future generations.

In addition to books, we provide public access computers, 24-hour Wi-Fi access from our parking lot, a wide selection of DVDs & audio books, rotating art exhibits by local artists, senior hours, and programs throughout the year like book discussions, guest lecturers, kids programs, toys, games, author visits, health & wellness activities and much, much more!

We see the future of our library as a welcoming community center for all, a lifelong learning center, and center for the arts in Raymond. We strive to provide the Raymond community with unbiased educational, social and artistic opportunities.

Our library is not a Town department
We have one full-time and two part-time staff
We provide many programs because of our dedicated volunteers and grant funding
This year’s expenses are projected to be $117,500
$60,000 was approved at this year's Town meeting which did not include our request for $12,000 in additional funds to meet our hours and minimum wage challenge

Please consider supporting this mission by donating to the library during our annual appeal. Donations can be mailed to PO Box 297, Raymond, ME 04071 or in person at 3 Meadow Rd., Raymond, ME. We accept credit and debit cards.

Donate on-line now using a PayPal account or credit card!

We are truly grateful for your support!

Upcoming Community Events
Casco Bay Tummlers
Performing Saturday, Dec. 7th
At the Raymond Village Community Church

By definition, a Tummler is an entertainer, rabble-rouser and creator of joyful chaos.  The Tummlers first got together on Peaks Island in Casco Bay in 1987.

The band members play no fewer than a dozen instruments among them. Their lively music draws on a variety of sources, from traditional Klezmer recordings to Balkan folk music and Yiddish swing. Some might call their music Jewish Jazz.

Join us as we enjoy their rabble-rousing music in Raymond!!!
Hawthorne House Christmas Party

The Hawthorne Christmas party will be on Sunday, December 8 at 6 PM, with dinner at 7:00 PM , at 40 Hawthorne Rd, Raymond, ME.

This traditional holiday get-together is always a warm and welcoming experience -- a chance to greet old friends and meet new ones. The house will be decorated with a large tree and lights.  After dinner there will be a gift grab and a carol sing-along.

Children are welcome, as are friends who may not be members of the Hawthorne Association.

The event is BYOB and potluck, so please bring your favorite culinary creation and beverage.

A 5$ per adult contribution goes to purchase supplies, including soda and coffee.

Your RSVP will be appreciated to help us plan - please respond to John Manoush at
