FRIENDS BOOK SALES
Holiday Book & Basket Sale runs through Dec 30!

The holiday sale is our major fundraiser for the library each year and all of the funds raised go back to the library to support library programs & collections. This year, we could especially use your support - as we are looking at needing to cut $100,000 in library funding for 2024.

Thank you our amazing group of volunteers - the Friends of the Germantown Community Library - that put together over 250 baskets for our sale!!

Over 20 new baskets added the week of Dec 4!
Our library is a growing and thriving part of our community! Last year, we saw 92,000+ people, checked out 341,000+ items and had 21,000+ people attend programs!

Due to Village-wide budget cuts in 2024, the Germantown Community Library will be cutting over $100,000 from the library budget. These cuts will include:
  • 10% reduction in operating hours
  • 10% reduction in new materials purchased
  • Elimination of digital resources available through hoopla
  • 30% reduction in programming funding

We are looking to community members and businesses to help us maintain programs and continue to offer free resources for everyone.
