The speaker at the December luncheon will be Democratic Club president Paul Dain. The topic to be discussed: "The Electoral College: Friend or Foe?"

The Democratic Women’s Club of Manatee County will be holding its annual Christmas party. There will be a gift exchange. Participants are asked to spend no more than $10 for gifts. Reservations are due by December 8th.

Get into the spirit of the holidays! All are welcome to join the LBTQ+ Caucus for food, drink, and lots of good cheer. Mean Deans is offering a varied menu, including its famous Prime Rib. If you are considering the Prime Rib, let us know so we can inform the restaurant. Separate checks will be accepted.

Community Service Opportunities for the Holiday Season

Manatee Dems at the Food Bank

Monday, December 2, 8:30 am to 11:00 am

Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee, 811 23rd Ave E, Bradenton


The Manatee Dems will have two opportunities in December to prepare fresh produce for distribution to local people in need. On December 2 produce will be prepared for delivery at Meals on Wheels for those who are homebound. On December 17 produce will be prepared for distribution through the Mobile Produce Pantry. The mobile produce truck will bring the fruits and vegetables to locations where they can be picked up by Manatee County children and families. Choose your shift(s) when you sign up.

Join the Right to Clean and Healthy Waters Petition Drive

The Manatee County Democratic Party along with the League of Women Voters and environmental groups will join the drive to get the Right to Clean Water amendment on the 2026 ballot. The amendment will empower Floridians to better hold their government accountable when it comes to Florida waters. It will provide recourse when, through action or inaction, a state agency allows Florida waters to be threatened.
