AT&T may start testing 5G new radio unlicensed service over 6 GHz spectrum, the company informed the Federal Communications Commission, reporting that it wants to study how equipment operates in the "Wi-Fi 6E standard or the 3rd Generation Partnership Project ("3GPP")" specifications. The FCC has made all of the 6GHz frequencies available for unlicensed use, providing a total of 1200MHz.
