December 2020

2020 had challenges around every corner as we had faced struggles, learned ways to adapt and persevere. Hope is on the horizon with optimism for a prosperous new year.

The Glen Ellyn Chamber has become creative to pivot our operations and promote your business throughout the changing restrictions. To name a few new 2020 ideas:

  • Selling Survival Kits with 100% of the $20K going back to the retail stores
  • A community wide GoFundMe page feeding our first responders and purchasing over $14K from local restaurants
  • Restaurant Week where our website had 4K hits and restaurants saw significant growth in numbers
  • Scarecrow Rows highlighted over 100 community groups and brought folks from all over DuPage county to walk the streets and explore Glen Ellyn
  • A Santa Mailbox and Virtual Tree lighting video to keep the spirit alive and promote holiday shopping
  • Countless marketing hours spent on the web page, social media and collaborating campaigns with the Village of Glen Ellyn and the Downtown Association to focus on spending local

We continue to plan for new ideas in 2021, however we cannot do this without your company's active involvement and support from membership dues. The Chamber is dedicated to support our members by connecting your business with the greater community.

We wish you, your employees and family a happy and healthy holiday,

The Glen Ellyn Chamber Team
