December 2022 Eureka Chamber Membership News
A MESSAGE FROM YOUR CEO
Looking Forward to 2023

 CEO and President, Nancy Olson
On the heels of a year all of us can agree brought more than its share of challenges, I can honestly say: I am looking forward to 2023. While we can’t know all it will bring, I am excited about the possibilities and the plans we are laying for a successful NEW year – and beyond!

I am thrilled to announce that our Board has approved the founding of a new 501c3 nonprofit organization that will run in parallel with the Greater Eureka Chamber of Commerce and allow us to significantly expand our offerings.

Launching in January, the Redwood Coast Chamber Foundation will foster inclusive economic and community development for California’s North Coast. As a result of our work, local businesses, nonprofits, schools and community members will have expanded access to educational experiences and programming designed to support regional economic growth and resilience.

That’s a broad statement of purpose. So what does it mean? It means that, in collaboration with a wide variety of partners, we will be better poised to respond to the needs and opportunities for local businesses, nonprofits, educational institutions and others with new initiatives that support the economic vitality of our area.

2023 will be the year we focus on building access to educational opportunities for our Chamber Members and our broader community. We are partnering with AEDC to launch Leadership Redwood Coast in March. Next Level, an ongoing series of professional development courses, will begin in February. And Conversations with Leaders, giving our members access to some of our region’s most in-the-know folks to discuss big issues that impact us all, starts in January.

Thanks to all of you for helping inform what’s next for the Greater Eureka Chamber. As we lay expanded frameworks for future growth, I invite you to get involved by participating in our new programs, volunteering your time and, yes, investing financial resources to support this important work.

May your Holiday Season be bright and meaningful and filled with goodness!
