SUN DIVERSION BUSING SERVICE RUNS THRU APRIL 15
While we expect fewer weather-related flight diversions again this winter due to the new landing approach procedure in place at SUN, there will still be times when flights can't land and busing is needed. THANK YOU WALLY HUFFMAN
Wally Huffman is retiring from his years of volunteer service on the Fly Sun Valley Alliance Board of Directors at the end of this month, and we wanted to give him a HUGE thank you in recognition of all of the ways he has been instrumental in supporting air service to SUN over the past four decades, yes, four decades!
Since the 1980s, he has been directly involved in working to improve air service to Sun Valley. This includes his role as general manager of Sun Valley Resort, which has always financially participated in air service efforts here, to his leadership on the Sun Valley/Ketchum CVB Blaine County Transportation Committee (the precursor organization to Fly Sun Valley Alliance), and then as an active board member of FSVA since its formation in 2009. Wally brought experience, resources and a straight shooting perspective to the work of improving our community's air service and he is an integral part of the success FSVA has achieved from those efforts to date.
"I have always known that better air service would benefit the whole community and I am really pleased with what we have accomplished over the years. I have been proud to be involved in the work of FSVA and its success in bringing new routes and supporting more year-round service. It's not something we should take for granted in these uncertain times, that's for sure. Access to good, year-round air service is an essential part of the high quality of life that we all enjoy here," Huffman remarked.
THANK YOU WALLY - FOR YOUR VISION AND MANY CONTRIBUTIONS!

The holidays are always a busy time for air travel, including at SUN.
If you plan to travel during the holidays, or pick someone up at the SUN airport, remember that proper planning and patience is key!
Departing passengers should arrive at SUN no later than 90 minutes prior to their scheduled flight time; a full two hours is preferred.
AIRPORT PARKING: Remember that the SUN airport parking is limited, so plan accordingly and arrange alternative transportation if possible.
PASSENGER PICK UP AND DROP OFF: To keep street-side traffic moving, those picking-up or dropping-off passengers are asked not to park, loiter or congregate in front of the terminal or baggage claim area. Have arriving passengers text when they have their bags in hand and are waiting curb-side.

TRAVEL RULES for AIR TRAVELER HEALTH & SAFETY
Increased personal health safety in this era of COVID-19 is important to both airlines and air travelers.
Masks Still Required on Planes, at Airports
Federal law requires passengers to wear a mask when traveling, including travel by commercial air. All SUN airlines, United, Delta and Alaska, require face masks for all passengers, crew and employees. TSA requires all passengers in line for screening wear a mask and masks required for anyone in the SUN passenger terminal area.
