What are dermal fillers and how to they work?
Hyaluronic acid, or HA, is a naturally occurring substance that delivers volume to the skin. HA can be found throughout the body in human connective tissue. It is the substance that helps make the joints move smoothly and gives the skin its plumpness. JUVÉDERM® is a long-lasting, non-surgical option that contains a modified form of HA. Fillers that include HA are a top choice for patients—over 90% of filler patients receive an HA dermal filler.
This month we have three of our JUVÉDERM® fillers on special. Learn about the differences between these popular award-winning products and talk to one of our Board Certified providers to decide which one is right for you.
As you age, the cheeks may flatten and the skin may begin to sag. This is caused by natural loss of volume in the cheek area, or what the experts call age-related midface volume loss. JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA™XC is designed to add volume beneath the skin's surface, which provides lift and contour to the cheek area. JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA™ XC provides natural-looking and long-lasting results that last up to 2 years with optimal treatment.
JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC is an injectable gel that temporarily adds more fullness and plumps thin lips—whether your lips have thinned over time or you simply want fuller lips—in adults over the age of 21.The lidocaine in the gel improves the comfort of the injection. JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC is also approved for smoothing and correcting moderate to severe parentheses lines, such as nasolabial folds (smile lines around the nose and mouth), in adults. JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC lasts up to one year, with optimal treatment.
JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC- similar to JUVÉDERM® Ultra - but Ultra Plus is a thicker more viscous substance than Ultra, therefore can provide more dramatic results in areas with deeper lines and hollows in the skin.
