Hunger is a Year-Round Problem
Community Servings was recently featured in the Boston Globe, " Getting food to those who need it, with heaping portions of dignit y," along with other local organizations that provide assistance to our food insecure neighbors.

According to a recent study, one in six Bostonians is food insecure. And when finances are stretched, individuals are making difficult choices about which bills to pay - rent, heat, groceries, or even medications.

"This has been the difference between an institution and living independently," said a Community Servings client. "Someone put actual thought and caring into the meal. The way they ladle rice in and vegetables, it's not just someone who dumps it in. Someone put it together well. It's appetizing and delicious... it's a fusion of skill, attitude, and genuine caring."

You can help us provide comforting medically tailored meals to our critically ill neighbors in need. Make a year-end gift and send the message to those in the greatest need that someone cares.

Turkey & all the Fixings to our Clients in Need
"On a holiday built on food, Thanksgiving meals from Community Servings are medicine," stated a recently published article in the Boston Globe .

We couldn't agree more. Thanks to the volunteers who hit the road (on one of the busiest travel days of the year), our 2,300 critically ill and homebound clients received special Thanksgiving meals delivered to their doors.

Made-from-scratch meals from Community Servings provide the nourishment our clients need to battle illnesses such as HIV/AIDS, cancer, heart disease, and others. A warm smile and a friendly hello from a volunteer or delivery driver send the message that they don't have to battle hunger and sickness alone.

Sign up for round two of Holiday Meal Delivery on December 21.
