Operation Christmas 2019
SATURDAY, December 7th

This Saturday, over 50 volunteers will cross the border to partner with local Mexican volunteers in the community of Santa Rosa (about 5 miles from La Mision.) This will be an outreach event to families living in the community; including an unreached population of migrant farm workers living nearby. Casa de Mana Update
Construction Interrupted But Not the Mission...

On October 24th, a fire destroyed the Strong Tower Ministries Casa de Mana Campus, which included our recently remodeled retreat center and almost completed warehouse/distribution center. On November 9th, over 100 people from the local community of La Mision, partnering ministries in northern Baja, and supporters from the United States, held a celebration on that very site.

With thankful hearts, we are so grateful to God for his grace and provision this past month. Even though material possessions were lost, lives were not. Although some view this as a tragedy, we have witnessed God use this as an  opportunity to reach out to others and to strengthen our resolve to accomplish His will
and expand His Kingdom in northern Baja.

This month both the work of the ministry and the rebuilding efforts continue. For those who have donated their time, talents, and treasures towards this project, we thank you. For those of you wanting to continue the work into the New Year, we are already filling up our trip calendar with 2020 dates and you are invited to participate!
New Faces To the STM Team

Strong Tower Ministries is pleased to introduce you to some new members of our team.

Shane Titus has been coming to Baja every year with his church from Watsonville, since he was a teenager. During that time, he's witnessed the construction of Door of Faith Orphanage, Casa de Maria, and other local ministries within La Mision. Now at 29, Shane felt God calling him into fulltime ministry and his heart said Baja. After leaving a successful career in Northern California, he committed to six months of volunteer service. It was during this time that he connected with Strong Tower Ministries and decided to make this his fulltime volunteer serving home. Shane brings with him a HUGE heart to serve, great communication skills, and knows his way around a construction site. You can find Shane coordinating our group trips into and out of Baja, and helping onsite with the construction work on our Casa de Mana Campus. Welcome Shane!

Mike Kimmel is the newest addition to our Strong Tower Ministries American Board. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and a Graduate Computer Engineering Degree from Carnegie Mellon University. He has been a Director of Technology at AT&T for 23 years. Mike has served for 20+ years as the Board Chairman/Vice Chairman of the Long Beach Rescue Mission and has served as a church deacon and member of the missions board. He has been married to Karen for 34 years and they have an adult daughter. They attend Cornerstone Church in Long Beach, CA.  Mike has been involved with Strong Tower projects since 2012. He is officially "retiring" this month and plans on working twice as hard in Baja, which most of our "retired" volunteers can say AMEN to!
