Towards New Year Milestones

Thanks to our incredible supporters, we've increased park stewardship opportunities, connected hundreds of students to the floating wetland with educational activities, and supported community and spatial justice through the Lynch Family Skatepark public art project. Our work is a celebration of community, bringing people together along the Charles River and its parks.

As we set our sights on the future, YOUR support is the key to greater impact. Consider making a gift to empower us for the exciting endeavors that lie ahead in 2024, and explore the highlights of our incredible year in our recent newsletter. Let's make more happen together!

Parking Signs Installed at Herter Park Lot

The CRC, along with many community members, has observed and voiced concern about the high demand for parking spaces in Herter Park, discouraging people from visiting. In response to this feedback, DCR installed 3-hour parking signs at the Herter Park/Artesani parking lot. The signs will hopefully help to ensure that more people have access to the amenities of Herter Park!

Parkways Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment

DCR hosted a municipal and nonprofit stakeholders meeting to share DCR parkways' vulnerability to flooding from increased precipitation, storm surge, and sea level rise that highlighted 2030 and 2070 flood exposure models. We want to thank DCR for convening with stakeholders to share considerations related to their local parkways! We looks forward to updates to the DCR Parkways Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment and future planning efforts.
