Happy Holidays!

Dear Neighbor,

Closing out 2023, I'm looking forward to enjoying the holiday lights and decorations in our community and more time with family. I hope you are, too!

Looking ahead to what's coming in front of City Council before the end of the year, we're taking actions to address our homelessness crisis. Items on the 12/12/2023 City Council agenda include a Rue Ferrari expansion project (an existing emergency interim shelter) and supportive parking in Berryessa. The council will vote to move forward with the creation of a supportive parking site at 10338 – 1300 Berryessa Road to give folks living in RVs safe options to go. Both sites will have on-site support services to help folks get back on their feet and on the path towards stability.

Neither of these sites are in District 6, but responding to our homelessness crisis is a citywide challenge that requires a citywide response. We have several interim housing sites in District 6, and I’m happy to see other parts of the city doing their part.

I wish you safe and happy holidays.

Best,

Dev
