The Pacific Institute is proud to announce the launch of the report "Diversifying Water Portfolios through Stormwater Capture and Use: Contributing to a Water Resilient Future," part of the Water Research Foundation Project 5236.



Authored by experts from the Pacific Institute, Wright Water Engineers, Inc., and One Water Econ, this report presents a flexible framework to help water utilities nationwide evaluate the feasibility of incorporating stormwater into their water supply portfolios.

The Pacific Institute’s latest blog, authored by President Jason Morrison, highlights key water stewardship efforts during UNGA 79 in New York, where the global water crisis took center stage.


During the week, the CEO Water Mandate facilitated impactful sessions, exploring innovations like AI in basin diagnostics, nature-based solutions, and collective action. The Water Resilience Coalition’s CEO Circle meeting and the UN Global Compact Leaders’ Summit convened over 100 business leaders, all committed to driving water resilience forward.

Dr. Peter Gleick’s Keynote at 7th International EcoSummit Congress 2024

Dr. Peter Gleick, Pacific Institute Senior Fellow and Co-Founder recently gave a keynote address at EcoSummit 2024 in Zhengzhou, China in December.


EcoSummit 2024 highlighted integrated aspects of ecological science under the theme, “Eco-Civilization for a Sustainable and Desirable Future.” The conference emphasized fostering socio-economic and ecological resilience across all scales.
