Tickets purchased before January 10 will be entered into the Early Bird Drawing. The Early Bird Drawing will take place on January 13 and we've doubled the prize this year!  The lucky Early Bird Winner will take home $1,000! 

The Grand prize will be drawn live during Chatard-A-Bration on Feb. 12. 2022. You need not be present to win. Only 625 tickets will be sold. Early bird winner will be included in the grand prize drawing. All proceeds benefit BCHS tuition assistance and teacher compensation. License # 000572

Balding Eagles Improv Team Christmas Special: Dec. 18
Watch our Improv Comedy Team perform their way through a retelling of the classic Christmas special in Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town: Unscripted Christmas Comedy Show. Fun for all ages!

The show will be held on Saturday, Dec. 18, at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Kyle Guyton Theater. Admission is pay what you can. Only 100 tickets per show — click here to place your online order today! 
Class of 2020 & 2021 Athletic Wall of Fame inductees honored
Graduates of Bishop Chatard's classes of 2020 and 2021 who qualified for the school's Athletic Wall of Fame will be recognized in an induction ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 18, at BCHS. The ceremony will occur in the Varsity Gym at the conclusion of the JV Girls Basketball game (approximately 7 p.m.).

Holiday shopping in the BCHS Spirit Shoppe!
This Christmas, give the Trojan fan on your shopping list the gift of Bishop Chatard spirit wear! Lots of new items and some old favorites are available through the BCHS Spirit Shoppe, either in the store or online!

Spirit Shoppe December Hours
  • Friday, Dec. 17 – 5:30-7:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 21 – 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Holiday Delivery Info
Orders placed online have the following options for delivery:
  1. Shipped for a flat $10 fee.
  2. This is a Gift – Pick up in the Store for FREE: This option is only available for the remaining December hours when the Spirit Shoppe is open (see above). The customer will be notified when their item is ready to be picked up in the Spirit Shoppe.

The online store will be open all month, however the last day to choose the “Pick up in the Store” option will be December 21. After that, all online orders must choose the shipping option until school resumes on January 5. Follow the BCHS Spirit Shoppe on twitter to get the latest info on new items, sales and special store hours.

Girls Basketball Alumni Night
Bishop Chatard was pleased to welcome back over 60 girls basketball alumnae and coaches at their Alumni Girls Basketball Recognition Night on November 24.

Former players enjoyed the evening of reminiscing, socializing, and recognition. The women were introduced to the sell-out crowd between the JV and Varsity girls basketball games vs Cathedral that evening. Check out the program of the evening and the bios from the alumnae here.
Lily Cridge wins second place in Nationals
Congratulations to BCHS junior Lily Cridge, as she finished second in the Garmin Running Lane National Meet in Huntsville, Alabama, on Dec. 4. She ran the 5000m course in 16 minutes, 22.81 seconds.

The previous girls Indiana cross country record was 16:52.25, set by Mishawaka’s Anna Rohrer in 2015. Lily’s previous best was 17:04.6 at the Shelbyville Semistate on Oct. 23. Lily won the 2021 state cross country title on Oct. 30, at Terre Haute, winning by 31 seconds in a time of 17:32.7 on a slow, rain-soaked course.

The winner of the national race, Natalie Cook from Flower Mound, TX, won the event with a time of 16:03.93. The top twenty in the nationals all ran under 17 minutes.
Patrick Countryman receives Academic MVP Award
BCHS senior Patrick Countryman received the Kiwanis Colts Academic MVP Scholarship at the Kiwanis International’s 65th Annual Marion County High School Football Awards held on December 3. According to Trojan Football Coach Rob Doyle, this award is based on GPA and citizenship and is the top academic award presented to a football student athlete in Indianapolis.

Countryman, a defensive back and wide receiver on the Trojan football squad, has a GPA of 4.6. This is the second consecutive year that a Bishop Chatard student has won this award.
