Support Groups for Providers

There will be no Child Care Leadership Group in December 2025.



Join us instead for a Leadership Lunch: Partnering for the Future in January with our CCR&R Executive Director Candy Hall. Topics will explore what child care programs and staff need today to thrive tomorrow. Your insight will inform how our agency can best serve, strengthen, and support child care programs in our area.


When: Wednesday, January 14th from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Where: In person at the CCR&R office or virtually

 

Registration is required. CCR&R will provide lunch for those who are able to attend in person.

Proceeds from the Fairy Tale Ball support CCR&R's mission to improve the quality and accessibility of early childhood education and care.

A New Training Opportunity is Coming in December!



Seeing the Unseen:

Unconscious Bias in Early Childhood Settings


Explore how unconscious bias shapes our interactions—and how cultural humility can transform them. This interactive training helps early childhood professionals recognize the hidden assumptions that influence their decisions and relationships with children and families. Register online HERE:

Time: 6:00-7:30 pm

Location: In person at CCR&R

Registry Credit: 1.5 Hours


This training is made possible at no cost to providers by funds from the Bureau of Refugee Programs “Child Care Resource & Referral” grant. All attendees will be put into a drawing for a $50 Amazon gift card at the end of the training.

CPR/AED Training

Dates for CPR/AED

  • Tuesday, December 9th from 6:00 pm-9:00 pm
  • Saturday, December 13th from 8:00 am- 11:00 am


Training includes: CPR for Adult, Child and Infant, Use of AED & Emergency Care for Choking. Meets state of Wisconsin license requirements. Training valid for two years. Cost: $25 per person


All trainings are IN PERSON

Scheels Holiday Giving Campaign


Scheels in Appleton will be giving back to non-profits in the community this season!

CCR&R Monthly Diaper Drop


Each month CCR&R hosts “diaper drop” events in Calumet County to support families in need—no income requirements necessary. You do not need to live in Calumet County to receive diapers. Families can receive diapers one time per month.


Pick up location for Winter 2025/26 is at Brillion Community Center (120 Center St.) on the following dates:


  • December 18th 3:30-6:00 pm
  • January 22nd 3:30-6:00 pm
  • February 19th 3:30-6:00 pm


While registration is not required, families are encouraged to pre-register to help ensure the right diaper sizes are available. Register online here: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/calumet-county-diaper-drop


There is a very limited amount of size 7 diapers available for the month of December only. If you are in need of this size, please be sure to register!


Feminine hygiene products and adult sized Depends are also available. You do not need to pre-register for these.

It’s a simple way to bring companionship, conversation, and a reminder that someone is thinking of you during a time of year where many people can feel lonely and isolated.

Parents Night Out- sponsored by the Village of Sherwood


Date and Time: December 12th, 2025, from 5-8:30 pm

Location: Sherwood Community Center

Who: Children age 5-12 years old, must be potty trained

Cost: $20 for first child in family, $15 for each additional child
