Greetings!
You are receiving this newsletter because of your interest in citizen advocacy and in being a more informed voter/citizen.

Colorado Senior Lobby exists as a volunteer organization to help educate, inform, and advocate for the one million Coloradans over the age of 60 and the families and friends who love and support them.

Our main focus areas for 2020, all at the State level, include issues related to health care (example: expanding the number of health care providers with geriatric training), helping people stay in their homes-both owned and rented, mobility, reducing financial and physical elder abuse, all while continually raising awareness of all aging-related issues at the legislature.

To be most effective, we work with a variety of coalition partners. Our work is greatly enhanced by your support - whether as a member, a donor, a volunteer, or all three.

Please support us financially with your membership and/or donation to help us keep working. And, if you have the time (it does not have to be very much) and interest, please volunteer with us.

2020 Renters’ Protections Legislation
Colorado Senior Lobby is looking at 2020 legislation already. So far there are 4 possible bills on Renters’ Protections Legislation. Topics include: Source of Income Nondiscrimination for Rental Housing, Limits on Rental Late Fees, Fairness in Access to Eviction Court Records, and Mobile Home Park Oversight bill. If you have an interest or personal story in regard these issues please send us an email. The personal testimony of citizens impacted by an issue or legislation is what legislators want to hear about.
Forced Arbitration in the News
Forced Arbitration is a topic that Colorado Senior Lobby has been active in over the past few legislative sessions, although we have not made progress on getting the changes made that we want to see. The Denver Post has run an opinion piece about this topic. If you feel strongly about this topic or you have been personally impacted by forced arbitration, send us an email.
