Happy Holidays!

I am looking forward to seeing all of you at the MASWA Holiday party on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Schuller's in Golden Valley.  We had so much fun last year and it was great to be able to visit with all of you.  Remember, free drinks, pizza, door prizes and the joy of the season ~ sounds like a great time to spend with friends and colleagues!

Thanks to all of you who attended the joint public policy meeting with SPSWA (St. Paul Senior Worker's Association).  I understand it was a great mix of issues being addressed by the legislature.  It is always good to know the different issues the legislature is focusing on and how it will impact those seniors we serve.

We always make it a priority to give back to the seniors in our community, so we are currently deciding which charities we would like to donate to this year.  We welcome any suggestions you may have.  The charity must be not-for-profit, provide services or products for seniors, and be in the Minneapolis area, which includes Minneapolis and the suburbs west of the Mississippi River.  If you have an idea, please talk with one of the board members at the Holiday party.

We hope you all have a wonderful Holiday season and a very happy and prosperous New Year!

MembershipRenewalMembership Renewal

Season's Greetings! Holiday time is once again upon us and I wanted to remind everyone that the annual MASWA membership expires on December 31st. With the new year comes time for membership renewal. We are working to grow our membership and we want you to spread the word about our great organization and invite other professionals to join our group as well.

Are your days really busy and you need an incentive to fit in just one more thing? Consider it done!  Renew or join by the end of January and get the early bird special price of $25.00. If you should wait until February, the cost of membership will then be $30.00, but still a great bargain!

Please remember that your membership is an individual membership and cannot be transferred to another person. I really do hope you are planning to join us again in 2017.  Please renew early and take full advantage of your MASWA membership in 2017!

Wishing you all a wonderful Holiday Season!

Sincerely,

Judy Decker
