Dear Villagers,
Happy Holidays, dear friends! November was a delightful month as we gathered at the HSRC Heritage Cafe for a cozy mixer, where about ten hungry diners savored delicious food and cherished each other’s company in a warm community atmosphere.
This season, we invite you to join us in spreading joy and warmth by considering a small yet impactful gift for a senior's beloved pet. By simply picking up a tag at your local pet store and selecting a special treat or toy, you can bring a smile not only to the furry friend but also to the senior who cherishes their companionship.
As we embrace this festive season, why not elevate your spirits by attending a Eureka Symphony concert? And if transportation is a concern, worry not! The symphony is launching a wonderful new shuttle service to whisk you away to the concert—just hop online or give them a call to secure your spot!
Speaking of safety and well-being, here’s a cheerful “Did you know?”: the American Red Cross is eager to install free smoke detectors in your home! It’s a quick and easy process—just fill out their online form and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with it. With the winter sun gracing us this month, take a moment to stand in a sunbeam; it’s a simple pleasure that can truly uplift your spirits!
Plus, there are numerous ways to celebrate the season, from the poignant lighting and remembrance ceremony hosted by Hospice of Humboldt to the charming holiday markets brimming with shopping opportunities and festive music to enjoy. Embrace these moments, connect with your community, and let the holiday cheer fill your hearts!
If you're lucky, you'll share a few moments with Santa for that holiday photo, too!
Happy Holidays from your friends at Redwood Coast Village!

Heritage Cafe Luncheon!
RCV had a good group of members & volunteers at the November mixer last month!
On the menu was spaghetti and no one left any scraps! Even without wine, good conversation was enjoyed by all. We're thinking of making this a regular date, stay tuned!
