Mola Mola Strandings on Cape Cod
A record 127 Mola mola (ocean sunfish) strandings have been reported on Cape Cod this year. These giant fish are trapped by the Cape's "hook" shape, which funnels them into shallow waters where they become disoriented. Experts suggest that climate change is altering their migration cues, with warming waters pushing them farther north into these geographic traps. Watch the video by Lower Cape TV to learn more.
