HOLIDAY HEARTS
Helping both Needham families and local businesses
Open your heart to families in Needham this holiday season. With your support we can help every income-eligible household at the Council receive gifts during the holidays. The Holiday Hearts program will provide households in our program with gift cards to local businesses. Our customers will have the joy of shopping for holiday presents while supporting local businesses - a WIN-WIN! No matter how they celebrate, our goal is to bring a smile to all our neighbors.
You may purchase Holiday Hearts at Learning Express, Michelson's, or directly through our website. Each household in our program has been invited to participate and your donations will increase the value of these gifts. We will give age appropriate gift certificates from Learning Express, Michelson's and Target.

So that every resident of Needham is able to enjoy a home cooked Thanksgiving dinner, our staff and volunteers delivered over 300 fully prepared Thanksgiving dinners this holiday.
With the help of the Needham Golf Club and the Rotary Club, residents received a fully prepared meal, including pie, with reheat instructions.
Thank you to everyone who supported the program, you helped make a neighbor feel special this Thanksgiving!
For our food pantry households that wished to cook a meal at home, we supplied 200 food boxes loaded with the fresh ingredients to create a meal as well as a gift certificate to Stop & Shop for any other holiday items. Households we serve could enjoy gathering around the kitchen with loved ones and celebrate with all the fixings!
What is Thanksgiving without a freshly baked pie?! This year our food pantry customers received a gift certificate good for one pie from Hazel's Bakery. Each household was able to pick up a pie of their choice.
A very special thank you to the Rotary Club of Needham, Needham Golf Club, and Hazel's Bakery for their partnership and for all the financial donations that made it possible to provide these meals. From food preparation to loading, unloading and delivering hundreds of meals, an army of volunteers answered the call this holiday.
